Note: Last Updated 2004
I'm a native of Washington State and I’ve lived most my adult life here in the beautiful Puget Sound region. I moved to Hawaii for a short time in the early 80’s because the weather here was too wet and the lack of sunshine was making me crazy! I was young and restless then but have since learned to appreciate the lush greens around me that result from all those rainy days.
Up to this point my career has been in Engineering as a Technical Designer/Drafter. I was a Boeing employee for 15 years where I operated CATIA (computer aided design, engineering and manufacturing applications) for their Commercial Airplane Division. With the rise in Airbus and the infamous 9-1-1, my career was about to make a drastic turn. Please follow the link to view a copy of my resume.
In April 2004 I graduated summa cum laude from Henry Cogswell College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Arts with concentrations in 3D Animation and Film/Video Production. My education has equipped me with a broad range of talents, including: 2D and 3D Animation, Graphic Design, Web Design, Illustration, Multimedia Production, Scriptwriting, Storyboarding, Film Directing and Editing, Digital Visual Effects, Motion Graphics, Sound Design, DVD Authoring, and so forth. Wow, what a package! Being the self-sufficient person that I am, I acquired the necessary equipment, hardware and software along the way so I could function independently, thus the birth of SMAK Productions.
When I’m not behind my camera, I’m on the dance floor. I’m an avid West Coast Swing dancer and competitor. I started partner dancing back in the days of “disco” and I’ve been cuttin’ the rug ever since. I also do a little Country Two Step, Hustle, Salsa, and whatever else suits my fancy. It is a huge happening here in the Northwest. Probably because it is the perfect rainy day activity! Yeehaw!
